Did this for an ex employee of mine a few years ago, where the job centre would pay an amount towards the employees wages for a period of six months, tax free and could be used as part of their wages as it was actually paid to the employer.

Hope this helps

cheers steve il look at it now.
did you get a lump sum as well as wage support?
sorry for the questions mate but how much would they pay you?
-
can't remember off hand think it was around £80 per week. No lump sum.
And some colleges are doing free NVQs at the moment, me and my staff have recently done these, no outlay, they come to you, mainly safety based but gets you and the staff thinking about what you're doing.

ive looked into this but it only seems to apply to the lads up scotland or parts of scotland,
it not there in my part of the world.south west. >:( >:( >:(

I have recently taken on 2 employees who were on the dole for six months. They both undertook a work trial unpaid for 2 weeks, the job centre helps with any travel expense and they give £3 per day lunch allowance. If you take them on you get a £500 payment into your bank account usually within 3/4 weeks. You have to guarantee the employee at least 16 hours per week.
The jobcentre will check that you are still employing them in 6 months time, if that is the case you recieve a further payment of £500. This is not to be confused with New deak where you get a weekly payment to your employment costs. This is a national scheme.
Hope this helps.

i took a young lad on from local council. the first three months they paid his wage, then i had to pay them and claim the money back. this lasted a further two months, then 1 month of 50% pay then one month25% pay. the also paid for nvq training, ladder safety course and cscs test. they also supplied him with my company uniform/ppe etc
but as said above check with business link they will know whats available in your area

No link needed speak to your local job centre, they are tightening up on people on the dole so are actively lokking for employers willing to take on medium/long term unemployed.
