For some time I have been thinking the term PURE WATER was not a good chose. People think tap water is pure.I think demineralise pure water would be better for marking purposes as it invokes a bit of thought on the customers side Pure water does not sound complicated and expensive. The think this term needs to be improved and brought up to date. Remember this is for marketing, it’s the spin or value adding we are talking about. What do you guys feel about it.

I usually use the word purified water, since pure water is a bit vague for customers, and demineralised is just too long of a word. :P
-
i say laboratory graded water ;)

DE IONIZED sounds technical

i get asked if i am the magic window cleaner cause of the name. I answer i don't like to brag but..... ;D

Surely if youve got to the stage where the conversation with the potential custard is about the water the marketing has worked. In other words you have your foot in the door.
I tell them its reverse osmosis water if our conversation happens to go down that route.
-
I use the term Laboratory Standard Water - not sure if it's correct but it seems easier for the customer accept. Depending on how the conversation goes, i drop in the fact that it's very expensive to produce and is a fair proportion of my charge but the benefits to the householder more than outweigh the cost.

Matt markrting applies to new custards and by the sound of the replys you guys have applied new markting standard to your custards naturally.

When explaining to the cloggies...I use the word Demi-water...and this they understand...

hi all :)i mentioned wfp to a custermer tryed to explain that it uses pure water, he then said feel free to use the tap at the side of the house ;D ;D........pete
-
My point exactly. Customers think pure water is tap water. What you do and what they perceive and to different are to different things . Marketing is more to do with perception. That’s why I said at first posting the word marketing . This is such a important thing. People ¬s perceptions are not openly disused that is why we as sellers on our service need to under stand how our costumes think We might only be Window cleansers but we are dealing with customers that have been exposed to marking for a long time and that’s why, when money is short they spend on other things first and cancel our service.
-
i really dont think it makes much difference wizard.in fact i would go as far to say that ur overthinking into stupid little things!saying that i will tell custys the truth!de-ionized/purified/pure water.most wont care!they just want clean windows! ;D ;D

why we as sellers on our service need to under stand how our costumes
I can see where your problem is mate, you need to stop turning up dressed as Batman or Miss Piggy, no wonder your potential customers doubt your integrity.
I wear a uniform at work, never encountered the issues you're describing.
