-

i understand that but think most of us are struggeling but its not worth it in the long run

They'd be moaning if they come home to find you impaled on one of their wrought iron fence posts.
What is it with that Scottish geezer putting vids up on youtube of him working up a ladder in the most dangerous conditions you could possibly imagine, another fella on here saying how they go out with their ladders and its fine.
With these guys when does it become dangerous?
When does their P/L Insurance stop applying?
At what point do they stop having any consideration for their customers property and safety let alone their own.
When do they go from professional to idiot?
Sorry, Im sure it offends some people but thats how I feel.

the older we get the ,more it hurts ups a long way down hope he ok

just been reading that Daz is going back to work with his magic pole on Monday,still a risk of falling and getting hurt,im struggling to stay on my feet walking the dog,i think all next week will be spent at home,its not worth the risk
-
did a supermarket this last week out side a great pile of snow had come off the roof;
and i mean a lot made your head sore if it hit you. this had come off at midday so;
theres lots of different things to asses when going on about safety.
what im geting at is if your going out in this dont come over all pious about hs later on.

i am just looking at it as this month is lost besides the money side the customers understand the crack so dont expect to lose any so should b fine in fact got a new custy off my thompson local add yesterday
-
customers will be ok apart from when you go back they will all expect you the first week,and the way it is some will be week four
-
i think the last thing on any customers mind at the min is getting there windows cleand and as soon as it clears up i will do a couple of full 7 day weeks to catch up
-
Any customer who doesn't understand that these conditions can be harzardous can take a running jump as far as I'm concerned.I'm not risking my neck for the sake of a tenner.Having said that,I'm going to do my best to get back in the groove next week,even if it's just tradding the bottoms.I'm starting to get cabin fever.

. we all have itchy feet. cant wait to get out working . start earning some cash .but better to drink tea in house waiting for weather to break .than led in hospital bed looking at broken leg .

No way is it worth the risk. Last week i saw a c****y up some ladders at this new restaurant. Snow & ice all over the pavement & nobody footing his ladders. What a dipstick!! All it takes is one slip. Safety first. Is it worth dying for a few quid, i think not. I fell of my ladders a couple of years ago, broke me arm & foot. The way i look at it is that i could have died and what for.....£7.00. By the way am now wfp.

There has always been a screwy attidude to ladders and safety among some window cleaners. You would think that it was an affront to their manhood to suggest they should consider the safety aspects of what they do.
I saw three guys out cleaning widows with ladders yesterday in West Harrow. Fine if thats what they want to do.
I have been in this business a long time off and on. I've heard about a lot of window cleaners and a lot of falls over the years.
Its just a job, not worth killing yourself over it.
