Work's coming in steady. But I've only done two jobs since Xmas. In the West Midlands, main roads are clear, side roads are passable with care. Locally, some of the lanes around my village are no go areas. If I were to work, I couldn't guarantee being able to park in a way that's safe for other traffic, and the risk assessment for carrying kit up and down icy paths tells me to stay home.
Next week is going to be problematic though. I've got time pressure. A show house in Bloxwich booked for Tuesday with new owners moving in on Wednesday. And ditto on Thursday for an office block in Bury St. Edmunds on Thursday :(
Safe and happy cleaning :)

Hi john,
its the same down south, got plenty to do and a lot work coming in at the moment,
but the ice is a night mare!
Went to do a job on Monday and the tempature inside where the machine was about +5,the time i got to the place to do the job, which outside was - 6.
So that knock that job on the head in the end,but we did rebook job for later on ;D
I think all you can do is quote and stack the work up for the time being, and see how it goes.
Best Regards Gary :)

Hi ken,
as i said to John that the weather is not good, and i think next week is about the same down here for next week.
So all you can do is take the calls and quote for the jobs, that are coming in at the moment.
A lot of customers are prepared to wait until this clears up,and then just ring and book to do the job and thats it.
So in away its just extra holiday for me,and then the schools are shut down here as well,so some one as to look after the young one ;)
O well spring will be here soon, and better days we hope ;D
Regards Gary :)

Done 2 jobs today and it was a pain.
Takes twice as long swopping shoes at the door to prevent
treading in snow, only to find you've forgotten something.
Then you find you left pre-spray sprayer in vehicle overnight
and it's frozen solid and has to be de-frosted.
Roll on global warming.

Hi John,
That happen to me as well this week-frozen bludy pipe when i turned up to do the job on Monday!
Now i have put that sprayer in a cardboard box in the truckmount, and now its ok in that one.
Lets hope things start to change soon, for every Bussiness in the uk!! :) :)
Regards Gary :)

hi gary where abouts in the south are you
-
All gear that can be affected by freezing goes in my house at night.
Forgot the sprayer though.
John
-
Thats a good way to stop them from freezing John!!!
My Mrs would not like that bringing the gear in the house, she would say we have not got know room now in the house.
We have heaters set to +3,and we just keep it all in there, and just keep heaters on all the time when its like this weather we have this time of year.
Regards Gary :)
