Making a diy pole using a Harris pole got all the bits I needed drilled all the holes all working good but
have popped the rivets and removed the end cone
is there a piece of kit on the market that's slots into the hollow pole section to which I can connect my adjustable angled piece which is connected to the brush
had a look on some diy pole sites
they were chopping up a broom section which had a threaded end and screwing that into the pole section

you have answered your own question here get one from a broom alternativly gardiners and a few others sell the insert you need

i use broom handles from tesco they sell them without having to buy the brush head

Cut the top section of a Bentley brush and I bonded it to the top of a Harris pole.

The one I'm using now I just cut about 7mm of the top of the metal screw with a hacksaw then used 2 self tapping screws to keep the angle in place, the one before I knocked some 22mm copper pipe into it then same again with the adapter, personally I don't see the point in removing the metal screw unless you want to change brushes frequently.

no need to cut end off pole or drill out rivets
heres what I do
heat up the plastic screw on cone that comes with the harris over a stove, whilst hot force it into your plastic adjustable angle gooseneck whist turning clockwise (will kinda cut its own thread)
with a small drill bit put a pilot hole through either side of the necks body whilst cone is still in. Secure with 2 self tapping screws and cover with a few good turns of electrical tape.
The advantage of this is you only need do it the once (or atleast for the life of the angled neck)
When your harris pole wears out or breaks you need only screw it straight on to a new one

Why I use the bentley is Gardeners postage costs are to heigh for a few things.

i think i paid less than £2 each for the handles

i just unscrew the black thread at the top and glue it to the angle adapter easy.
how ever i drill a hole in it and have the tubing inside the pole. the whole process takes about half an hour :)
