Why not get someone to take a picture of you Pressure Washing - think it looks better if it's actually you doing it for customers to see!

I am considering offering pressure washing as a service, what are the going rates for this? and how much work do you window cleaners pick up with this? It seems a big out lay for little income,I considered hiring the tackle when and if needed, but doubted i could make it pay  ???

Suppose it depends where you are.
I price between £1.50 - £1.75 depending on how bad it is.

If you already have customers for WC then let them know you are offering that service.
I find you don't get that much work from it, but then again my customers are the main target.

Yes mate - sorry just read my post and realised i didn't put that in.

My pressure washer is used more on gutter cleans with the gutter lance - to be honest that's what i got it for.

Paid for itself within about 4 - 5 cleans i suppose

how much did it cost to get that gear? how much do you charge for gutter cleans then?I have heard £5 per metre is about right?Do you think its easier/better than doing it with a WFP?

With the gutter lance you clean inside the trough not just the underside as you would with WFP.

Bought my gear awhile ago now (couple years?), so can't really remember, but think it was about £500

With the gutter lance i have also washed down the side of a house for a painter.

A standard 3 bed house i would charge from £70 - £90 depending on how bad it was.
Last 3 bed i did took me about 45 mins from start to finish.

Hi just popped over  from the general cleaning forum, the only time i would go as low as £1.50 is on a large job over 800 sqm.
on domestic for  block paving clean and re-sand you should be charging between £2.50 - £3.50, on slabs between £2.00 - £3.00 sqm

how easy/hard is the re-sand?is it just a case of brushing it around?how much per square metre is  needed?

yeah just brush in with a large broom, 1 bag does around 30 sqm, just make sure you buy kiln dried sand

Yeah, will get some of me pressure washing, but it's for my Freeindex listing - literally 1 x 2sq cm image alongside a couple of lines. With all this bad weather I thought i'd do a bit of constructive computer work and update my listing. I have just bought a shiny new washer so will get some images of myself for my website.
