Post by: cleaning-team on January 06, 2010, 08:39:15 am

the cleaning schedule is the set number of visits.

A task list is what the client is requesting to be cleaned on those visits.

All of these will vary from contract to contract. Some will have different services.

So are you asking for a task list? If so something like this,

dfamp wipe tables/polish tables
dust skirting boards
Clean glass / mirrors
Vacuum - listed areas or where required
Mop where required
Clean toilets
Windows sills - weekly

It is not unusual for one company to call different aspects of their approach by different names.  It is the name that they associate with the activity.  I use what I call a cleaning schedule and it is not what either of you are talking about.  What Dave calls a "task list"and what I believe Jase is calling a cleaning schedule we call a "Performance Schedule".  Our cleaning schedules tell cleaners what is done on a day by day basis, ie. Daily Tasks, Weekly Tasks, and Monthly Tasks that are to be completed on a particular day.  I use a site map, combined with the performance schedule to develop a cleaning schedule that includes all daily, weekly and monthly tasks.  The cleaner then has no recourse to say I did not know.

Jase if you send me an email I will attach our performance schedule for daily cleans.  Keep in mind that there may be areas the client wants done that are not on the schedule, for example I have a client that has a coffee vending machine that the whole place uses and it gets quite dirty so I have added it into a daily cleaning.  Our performance schedule is just an outline to get us started on each one.  My email should be in my profile.
