Hi all,
I am in the process of getting some quotes for public liability insurance and I'm finding it quite common that the following is excluded:
"damage to windows or articles of glass, china, porcelain, earthenware, stone or other articles of a brittle nature."
I understand that with the excess you would have to pay with a claim, it's not worth insurance cover for, say, a drinking glass. However, if a ming vase (to use an extreme example) was to get broken it would be a different story. I was just wondering if anyone else has these exclusions? Seems a bit bizarre to me.
Any thoughts would be most appreciated...
Thanks
Kerry

i always tell Clients that if there is anything of extreme value to ensure they let us know and we won't touch it. Of course if a ming vase for examply was to get broekn they could claim on their own insruance!! :o

That's what I've been doing/saying up until now. Nice to know it's not just my insurance - thanks very much for the reply. Much appreciated.
