just putting together a pressure washing system for a new venture
have mounted a 1000l ibs tank and a generator on the back of a truck and
have purchased all the small tools materials and equipment needed
all that left is to buy the power washer i purchased what i thought was a high powered washer
but when linked to the rotary washer to the unit
the pressure does not seem to be great
what is the best reasonably priced unit to buy or strength needed to run my rotary cleaner
thanks

hi,
rcs, where are you from? have you pumped the water from a bin?
-
yes used a bin just to test the system
-
in west sussex
-
What is the generator for?
Are you running an electric pressure washer off it?
-
what psi is your pressure washer also what is the litre per minute of it, it may be powerful enough but might have the wrong size jets for your machine.
-
the generator is for running the breaker etc for paving repairs
-
5-5hp
2200 psi
i think i may have sucked up some sh--te in the bottom of the bin causing a problem
im running it straight fron the ibc tank and it seems to be all good
do i need a more powerful unit
-
Yes - 13hp is the norm
-
Changed unit to 13 hp
perfect
thanks for imfo
-
Does anyone offer a drain cleaning service using a 13 hp unit
-
i think so yeah
-
You can offer blockage clearance in domestic 4" drains, gulleys and rain water lines but you won't do bigger - start with a no clearance no fee. There's legislation that will lead to any drain work drying up so its not worth investing further
-
i agree. :)

hi mate ive just been reading your thread and ive been doing this for a while amongst other things...idealy you wanna be using a 13hp honda engine and make sure you are using a filter(weighted filter) on the end of your hose to sto blockages, also dont run it dry and keep it serviced ;))
