Title: TIZER!!!
Post by: Ian Rochester on December 29, 2009, 09:06:06 pm
Had a busy day today, full nursery inc wet fogging, 2 EOT's and a flood job.

However got a phone call during the nursery clean, could we get tizer out of their carpet?  It was literally just round the corner so we went round to have a look..... massive bright orange stain on standard beige 80/20 carpet!

Standard questions:

Q: When did it happen?
A:  Boxing Day
Q:  Have you used anything on it?
A:  Everything, vanish, 1001, Mr Muscle and Rug Doctor, also tried Alcowipes!!

Told her I'd go back in the new year and have a proper look at it but could make no promises.

I'm thinking it's going to end up with something like SHIFT and even then I don't think it'll vanish completely.  Anyone had any joy with anythng else on TIZER stains that are probably set?

I would rinse out any shampoo and then hot iron procedure.

Shaun's suggestion might work but I think Tizer has at least one of the dyes found in Irn Bru.

Remind then of the possibility of colour loss !

Tizer, Irn Bru, Lucozade, always difficult, make no promises and as Shaun says rinse out all the other residue and take it from there

defoam and then hp 6% 20Vol. However it all depends if its a light coloured carpet. If not then a good chance of color loss
