Post by: dai on December 28, 2009, 03:44:52 pm
This year has sen a surge of online payments from customers, online banking is now a necessity.

my accountant lets me claim 10%. If I had an office outside the home I could claim more though.

Thanks for that Nat, 10%, the tight git, I thought it would have been more than that, it's an absolute necessity these days

I can claim 10% of the heating & electric bills too,.. 10% of the bin charges etc etc. Once its connected to the house then I'm told that only a small percentage is allowed. ;(

My accountant is happy for me to claim £10 a week to cover all of these costs so I go for £520 a year.

When I was on my self assesment course 6 years ago this was the figure suggested by the taxman himself for a business like mine so you could possibly squeeze more now with it being a new decade soon ;) ;)
