I've just had my van fitted out and all was fine when the firm did the demo - water squirting out at pressue from external port and increasing as the flow master was increased. Tried it today and water is just trickerling out with no change when flow master increased. Pump shuts off after 30 seconds and dead-end message appears on flow master.
I put the male 1/2 inch connector into port to test and ensure there will not be a dead-end reading from start and water does come out but not squiring out when demo waas done by firm after fit.
I've moved flow master setting to 80 and pump is shaking but no more water comes out. When hose reel connected nothing coming out of other end of hose.
New system not been used before (aprt from test after fit) so am I doing something wrong?? Using flow master wrong?? I'll give firem a ring but not open now to 4 Jan so any ideas??
thanks

Whats the temp where you are? Its not frozen is it?
Or maybe you've got an airlock...?
-
could it be air block?
-
It does not appear to be frozen so probably air lock. What do I do to sort air lock problem out???
cheers

If using hoselock, try new fittings. Sometimes a dodgy hoselock can drastically reduce flow. Possible kink in hose? If running through DI vessel, resin in riser tube?
-
if all the pipe work is fine, as stupid as it ,might sound can you blow up the port, as i use to be a plumber and alot of air block could be solved by blowing back up the pipe

Disconnect hosereel from van port. Put controller on maximum speed. You should be able to hear air going through system. Wait for it to come out through van port.

any water in the tank. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
or
have you turned the tap off. :P :P

To avoid confusion, the water is coming out of van port but.. it's not underpressue and just falling stright down to the floor (like a tap). It'snot squiriting out. It is coming out at 1 ltr every 20 seconds.
I assume it should be squiting out under pressure to ensure to enable it to travel through reel hose and up pole??
-
andrew that sounds like the way it should be if its coming out like a tap that is your flow , when it is forced through you hose it builds up pressure and becomes more powerful

most people work at 1 to 2 litres a min

I assumed that the water from the ex port would need to be squirting out?
The problem is that when I conenct to hose reel from ex port the reading goes to dead end so no water does come out of the hose reel and the pumpshuts off.
When the guy did the demo water was squirting out from the port like a jet - not now just coming out like a tap but no presue.

Sounds fine to me. The connector on the end of your hose reel prob has a water stop in it. Connect your pole hose and brush & it should work fine.
