I've just came in from taking the dogs out for their yearly walk (So the missus would have you believe ;D) And there's a message on the answer phone "Hello, could you come out and clean our carpet? We've dropped a bottle of red wine on it!"
On Christmas morning? What would you have done?

tell them u will go the 4th january

Colin:
If it's a small job with limited furniture, limited travel, easy access AND PAYMENT IN CASH, then yes I would go but tbh I would charge accordingly which on xmas day would probably be 3xtimes my min charge (£150.00)
Think thats fair infact its probably quite good value compared to plumbers, sparks etc (if theyd even come out).

Same here, id go out and do it today but would insist on CASH £150.00. Or would go out 27th December £80.

False alarm.... It was my mother in law trying to be funny :-\
-
charge her a call out fee, any way lol

1- 0 to mother-in-law.

I used to think my Mother in Law was such a lovely woman...... ;D
-
hahahahaha hook line and sinker :D
(now send her an invoice for a callout fee and see if she finds it funny ;))

If it was for real I would of gone out and done it.
1. Its money
2. Its business.
3.Its a good excuse to avoid having to sit and talk ,bird seed, to the mother in law before a lovely dinner, that will taste even better, after a bit of hard work.
4. A happy new year to everyone on this site.
