Got to first customers, their 2nd clean now. The water was freezing at the jets, so didn't even get a window done.
Knocks the door and tells them ill be back later when its warmed up. The guy who I never met before says no worrys if you can't get back before new year, hands me £10 and says get yourself a drink !
Best tip I've had and from my newest customer !

Just managed one house today, the water was freezing before I could blade it off and I was using warm water on my mop. It was a first clean so managed to finish it before calling it quits.
Also got a tip from her and picked up a new customer for when I'm next round so it wasn't a total waste of time. Lovely day out as well it's just not getting above freezing at all.
Wish I'd taking dazmonds tip of using screen wash ;(

Murdie, we get very cold winters here mate, we had minus 16 on Saturday night. One thing I learned from an old WC years ago was, when it's below minus 2, never use warm water. It freezes in seconds when it comes into contact with freezing glass. Use cold water and add screenwash or whatever you add as needed.
This is only a tip for when it's below minus 2 or when it's zero but there is wind. I asume you get about the same temp up where you are as we get here in Germany. I've managed to work down to minus 6 in the past, but it usually starts getting to be a problem at minus 4.
Hope I've made sence there ;)

Thanks for the advice guys. The BBC weather site was forcasting -10 in my area at the weekend just gone, I don't think it dropped as low as that but -6,-8 are fairly common in the winter here.
