A window cleaner who dus this street hasnt turned up for months now,and 3 of his custies have already asks me if i'll do em,so thinkin of doin a leaflet drop this wednesday,jus dont want him to turn up at sum point and kick off,coz that what happened last time i did leaflet drops. he hasnt turned up on his work for about 4-5months now,and he hasnt even given his custies a contact number,so im jus gunna go for it,his own fault at the end of the day,good prices for the houses aswell :)

Why should it matter if you leaflet? We leaflet every week, we don't know if there are any other window cleaners where we drop them, but there usually are.
Leaflet (and knock) wherever and whenever you want.

around where i am tho,u get window cleaners ringin u up and threatenin you if u leaflet on they work,its a 'my patch,and no-one else is allowed to go on it' area lol had this prob earlier this year,first time id ever tried canvassin and i had a few window cleaners ringin up and threatenin me and my home,it childish and completely unprofessional but that how it is unfortunatly around here :( but i dont care now,im jus gunna go for it,they give me trouble i'll give it back twice as hard lol

if they call you and threaten you then just explain to them in a polite manner that you have a business to run and bills to pay, explain that they should know the score because with the recent visits that yourself and others (lie about this bit) have had off the tax man and the benifits man, that you need to keep earning and keep all your books up to date. You dont mean to take 'their so called customers' but that the customers approached you to do theirs.
The mention of the tax man visiting wc's as they work may put him on a back foot as he probably wont be legit ;D

just go for it, i use to live in widnes, and a lot of the wc there where this is my patch as they had them for years, these people are scared of compertion they proably all do trad still and slag of wfp as the devils tool lol

haha nah im only gunna canvass on this street coz the wc ant turned up in about 5 months,so i think that fair enuff,if your a good wc then they no need and no point in canvassin on they work,coz if ur good ur not gunna loose any custies,so i jus try n canvass on areas where it either a bad window cleaner or a area that dunt have a window cleaner ;D nowt wrong wid that imo

the whole "my patch" thing is bloody sad! there is plenty of work to around generally.
i think its only the smaller dodgy wcs that get really pd off when other wc drop flyers through.
even if several cheaper wcs knocked my customers i wouldnt lose many, if any!
just go for it! when you pick up one or two the rest of his customers will ask you to do theirs, if he kicks off just say well they asked me to do them!

you wont need to canvass areas like that just start cleaning one house and the rest will ask you,started with one house in jan and now have 20 on 2 streets all word of mouth and being seen

yeh sum1 saw me and asked me to do theys and her next door,and then a month later sum1else has sin me (bigger house ;D) and asked me to do theys,so im jus gunna do a leafet drop so everyone else knows they is a wc around they now,besides i'll be kickin myself if i dont and sum1 ese canvasses it al up,thats happened to me before lol

is the snow bad in darwin today thats not too far away from you stan is it?
Was on my way there but the snow put me off i couldnt even get round here the roads are that bad

yeh snow still bad around this neck of the woods,and ice is provin a pain aswell,dont fancy goin up the ladders in this stuff,looks like im dun for xmas

I always canvas, not drop leaflets, if I know an area/patch has been dropped by a window cleaner. My record was seven houses that said 'yes', one-after-the-other.
Leaflets may not work.

I would not do a leafelt drop on weds IMO that would be wasting your time, the leaflet may get use to light a candle if your lucky, but most people will be in christmas mode when they get back from work weds. Why not do it day after boxing day ?
