That's it, I've had enough
Of this bloody freezing weather!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My van doesn't like it at all, It's too much hassle having to run a lead out to the van every night to plug in a heater; christ it takes me fifteen minutes just to be able to use the van!!!
So, top of my list for 2010 is an industrial unit some where in Plymouth. So long as it's big enough to hold a couple of transit vans, has running water, electricity, a small office space and a telephone line and internet connection I'll be a happy bunny.
Just driving the car to work, arriving at my nice warm unit to be greeted by totally frost free vans that start with the turn of a key ........................ that'll do for me!!
God I hate this weather!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Untill you arrive at your first job & the water freezes on the glass!!!!! ;D
Still, you'll be able to go back to the unit & chill while contemplating your overheads! ;D ;D
merry xmas :-*

MLS I have all that on your wish list, sitting in office now, but, vans still arnt working due to weather.
You have to remember it costs average 5k - 7k for everything all in on a small unit i.e. rent / rates / water / elec / maintenance charges / insurance etc etc.
But i wouldnt go back, i start most mornings around 6, you cant have lads coming round your house to pick up vans all the etc.
Go for, you can get good deals with landlords at minute.
All the best

surely it will take you about 15 minutes to get to and into your unit,so you may as well save 7k ish a year and just plug a radiator in for a few days or weeks in winter ???

spent 3 hours defrosting outside hose reel last night, put heater in the van this morning.... (its in overnight tonight on timer) waited an hour ...set off
first call , froze on glass...waited an hour cos sun was out...then carried on..
3.45pm.... doing a cul-de-sac... so the main part of my hose was on the snow.... froze...
thawed the garden hose tonight...2 more hours ..heater in van 2 minutes.
the joys of being self employed and the things you have to do to get a days work eh.
still love it. ;D
