Title: starting on my own

hi i would like some advice on wether to start on my own or not, i have been working for the council for 6 yrs now and its a good job. ind cleaner. i have bought everything i need to start a mobile car valeting service in gwynedd north wales but im really pooing myself to finnish a full time job and just hope to make it, can anybody help me ???

Welcome to the forum Castlecarcare, and hope that someone who was in a similar position to you has made the leap and made it work......because i dont want to be the one to tell you to "go for it" and it doesnt work out for you.

If you do the homework and do the survey of the area and find that aside from your friends and workmates that there is a potential for car valeting around your way, then..........!!!!????

is there no way you could start part-time first just to test the water as it were before taking the plunge?

hi i have done leaflet and put them on cars in the local authority car parks, and im going to get sign writing on the van, i have put the word of mouth around, but no joy yet, im hoping to do part time at first but the sooner i get enough the better

Jonny you could approach your local taxi depots and maybe do a call out for when people throw up or any thing else ,taxis have to go of the road when this happens when they would rather be making money.
Also approach your local coach operators and haulage firms.
