Checked the bbc and its given out -5 / -6 where I am for the next few days.
I'm working till wednesday. Is it best to fill up the tank the evening before ? Not filling it to the brim though.
I've removed everything else and stored it away in the garage. Will just connect it up before I leave each morning. So not worried about pipes being frozen in the mornings
-
i woudl fill it up in the morning, how long is it going to take to fill up
-
I have been filling mine 3/4 full at night just incase it freezes in tank, if it doesnt I still would not fill in the morning is your gear is outside as that more than likely will be frooze solid in the morning.
I have 10 barrels of water they are solid :o
-
i fill mine in the evening after work
the idea for me is that the delivery pipe might have thawed out by then
-
To be honest at these sub-zero temperatures your water will freeze on the glass or your pipes will freeze on the ground anyway.
It's a nightmare situation, trad with screenwash if possible.
I'm backed up with work but the current & forcast weather is doing me no favours at all both trad or wfp!!!!!! :'( :'( :'(

I've got a 500W aquarium heater in my static tank, so I'm filling up at night. The lukewarm water is helping to keep the van from freezing!
