I really hope we have a decent snow fall Christmas Eve night Len.  The kids would love it.  I wish that we had the snow falls like we did when i was a kid.

Richie.
PS
It was MINUS 5 here last night.  Got up at 7am, went outside & started the car up to get it nice & warm, took dogs for a walk by the time i got back the car was de-iced and nice & warm.  Got to my mates house his van had the heater in over night but there was still ice on the windscreen.  He has a wooden bulk head that splits the cab from the rear of the van but normally the cab is warm....not this morning though.

No snow here in Cheshire.........yet. And hope we don't have any either, it can all stay in Walsall.

Have been taking the precaution of unloading the van of porty machine and detergents over the last few nights so they don't freeze. However left the hoses on the van last night as 'they'll be allright'. Whoops, arrived at job this morning with frozen hose ends. Won't make that mistake again.

Serious (for Stockport) snow here. Been snowing all morning. Looks like the Council has been caught out. (No surprise there then.)

Grew up in Glossop my first five years. Seemed like it snowed for months on end and up to your armpits. But that was in the days before global warming was dreamed up.

GHot to my office job to find an empty snow and ice covered car park, spent a good 10 mins doing handbrake turns in the wifes golf. Then had a horrible thought that their car park is covered with cctv cams !
Will have to ask for a copy,so i can show the wife how to take advantage of the weather

it all looks very nice when it has snowed but i couldn't work on friday, the hill i live on is an ice rink at the moment and it looks like tomorrow will be the same, cars are getting up the hill but my van is just too heavy so if you wish for snow remember it might stop you working

When i lioved in Faceby right on the Lyke wake walk route,in a big farmhouse down a single lane road up a hill,i had to drive my mini up it back wards  ;D was the only way of getting up it,the v6 mk2 Zepher i had used to just go sideways and the ground out in the snow, had to get towed up with the Hi lux, ended up just parking at the bottom of the hill and walking up the 1 mile road  >:(

I managed to get a go on an official training skidpan many years ago.  There cars, oil and water on the concrete floor, great stuff, plus the benefit of an instructor to help you control the skid.
Just speaking to someone today who used to live in Sweden. She says after you pass the driving test you can buy an hours tuition on a skid pan, a variance of our pas plus I suppose.

An hour on the skid pan has far greater value than the pathetic Pass Plus which merely generates extra income for bad instructors who should have covered everything before the test.

In the far North we've had virtually no snow so far, some frost, but only the tiniest sprinkling of snow

Been over to Macclesfield this afternoon with the kid's. Only couple inches of snow but roads were sheet ice. If your going that way next couple of days I'd avoid the hills.

Weve had no more snow yet.  LAst night was small amount.  Main roads are ok but all side roads and lanes are like black ice.  I live off a main road and this evening turned into my road and instantly ended up sideways.

Just when business was looking up, down came another 3 or 4 inches this afternoon so cancelled out the 3pm job and limped home.
Two jobs booked tomorrow which I could really do with getting done but unless we suddenly get an overnight thaw looks like they'll be a non starter too.

I've had enough of it now thanks >:(

Finally Basingstoke is famous for something, people having to abandon their vehicles and walk back to work just for somewhere to sleep for the night.
Jeez I'm bored :(
