Title: Advertising in local glossy mags.
Post by: geefree on December 18, 2009, 12:16:49 am
Hi,

I have just started advertising... (3months from january)... in the local glossy colour mags, which promise hitting 7000 homes each edition.

Has anyone ever used them.?

Waste of money. Word of mouth is the best advertising you can get and its free. ;)

Advertising to expensive in relation to number of jobs you get.  ON the flip side of this because wc don't advertsie much it is easier to get more work because custys cant find them unless they look for websites.

its the sandal review dave... already had it in the arrow... did ok..

this one hits sandal walton crofton and surrounding villages

hey up richy....thats why i fancy doing it , as there are no other w/c in the mag......................

i dont think advertising is a waste of money cockney rebel, i paid £18 in october issue as a trial... i got 7 jobs between £7 and £12..  verage it at a tenner... thats £840 .per year..for a mere £18....

without having to drop a leaflet or knock a door,

so i will give the bigger mag a go in january....

van advertising is doing well also, as well as word of mouth.

Always is good to advertise, but on the wc,word of mouth and knocking doors are the best way,Leaflets are good, but takes time to get reply......
