Posted earlier in the contract cleaning section but the activity over there is like a graveyard compared to us window cleaning lot!!
Maybe someone over here might be able to give an answer ;D
Ive been asked to quote on daily cleaning of glass and benches in a town center bus station , i can do the glass bit easy enough but need to know what to use and how to clean benches and also how much you can quote per bench for this sort of thing (daily clean)
Any ideas?

Hi Matt, I would just quote the whole job as if it was a daily cleaning job and do it by time. Is there anything stopping you going along and just eye-balling it to guesstimate how long the benches will take? I am assuming it will be a 7 day service with an early cleaning slot? I would also check out why they don't want the floors cleaned as let's face it after a Saturday night you will have the usual pee and puke all over the place and I can't imagine the customer wanting that left while the windows and benches shine! Once you have your cleaning time multiply it by the hourly rate you want and you might find you can employ a p/t cleaner just to do that one job if it comes out at say 2 hours+ per day. Remember people won't work 7 days a week so you are going to have to cover at least one day per week. Best of luck.

thanks mate , but can you tell me how do you clean a bench / what do you use , sorry for being a d*ck but ive only ever cleaned windows before , never cleaned my room as a kid and rarely done housework as an adult :-\

This is just a thought but i would say jet wash the benches???

Just make sure you make a decent job of it because the way I'm going, I may end up sleeping on it ;D

I can't/don't know the answer to your question,but i think it would help to know what the benches are made of,as some ways might not be suitable for certain materials.

be very carefull jetwashing benches!
you will take varnish/paint off it.
spray tfr and wash off with sponge and water!

The glass you will be able to price up yourself, the bench... Tough one..
Wood or metal ? Wfp metal... Nice n easy... Wood ???
7 days a week ? Remember to add extra for weekends / stupid times - you don't want to be working a sunday morning for pennys
Contract period ?
Depot included ?
Buses windows ?
Worth asking on the last 2 at least - if your working unsocial, you may aswell milk it ;)

the benches are metal and so could use wfp but there would be water everywhere at bus stop which could be a H+S nightmare especially at this time of year!! Hours are very unsociable too has to be done by 7am 7 days per week :-\

you wont be ble to leave the bench wet :o .so spray wth cleaning soution and wipe. I would thik :-\

Go clean one and see how long it takes you. Remember though that you may find something disgusting on there, so add a little for that.
Probably an antibac solution and a cloth to wipe it down with.
I'd also find someone before you put the quote in that can cover you from time to time to give you a break.
