Title: telephone canvassing

Does anyone use telephone canvassing? If you do what kind of hit rate do you have?

I think you have to be careful with telephone canvassing with the Data Protection Act.  I'm not sure how other companies get round it though.

My initial thoughts with telephone canvassing though are that you can't give the person a quote as you can't see the windows.  So I wouldn't have thought it was any good.

personally i don't think it would be  a good idea, i think the only way to canvass is to get out there and knock doors

I've been putting out flyers recently as I'm topping up my workload.  I'm getting cheeky in my old age by skipping the houses with leaded windows  ;D

since getting the wfp, i`m looking out for leaded windows...they come up great and the local trad cleaners don`t touch them with a bargepole...I do...with a water fed one!! ;D
