yeah same here.

Missus is in the personal accident insurance game and she said i wouldn't get any decent cover, if they would actually pay out that is - as its not what you take they pay out for its actually what you earn after expenses.

So then you need proof of accounts.. if you have been in the game a while your fine, or your quite new like a few years in, i doubt you would have built up a decent profit..

So every 5 months costs you the same, do they pay out from day one or after 30 days how long do they pay out for ?

I do not have income protection as in paid staff work so I guess I have protection, I do have accident and hospital cover, and this has proved a winner as had bad car crash and it paid out well that costs £58 a month

That payment makes no sence at all, save it in a bank it would give you more. But at the saem time for people not good at saving, that £150 a week is better than a kick in the teeth I guess

Put £20 a week away, In a year you will have a grand. If you don't trust yourself to do it start some savings scheme where you have to pay in regularly.

This is not for paying for time off with a cold or raiding it to pay for a holiday so if its a bit hard to get the money out so much the better. Over time you will build up a sizable nest egg.

Those schemes you can take out are a waste of time.

I use combined myself, just not for income protection as the fees do not stack up, the rest does though ithink I am ahead of payments for the next few years, they have paid out over £5000 to me.

I would recommend any trad cleaner to have insurance incase a fall. slip ect
