Post by: Pj on December 15, 2009, 09:07:42 pm
I know, I know, not so simple really, but pleeeze...
What is a decent hourly rate to price community type office cleaning?  (Supplying all tools and equipment)

Thanks

Can't see where you are based but for a minimum of 10 hours per week (5 x 2hour shifts) you could be looking at anything between £8.75 and £12.00 plus Vat.  Basically you want to make sure your wage control (wages / Nic / holiday pay) is somewhere around 65 - 70% of the invoice value. The larger the job the higher the wage control to be competetive.

You can find some good information on a recent post called "New Contract".  Phil has a good information posted and I posted a little math.

if you can't figure it out properly due to inexperience (nothing wrong with that), my advice is be safe and charge higher then you'd think. losing a contract because you were too high imo is better then getting one for being too low. you could be stuck in a contract unable to take on the next job which pays much better.
