Yea, no matter if you change prefilters or not.

thanks, dont know what they look like, are they pricey?

think about £120 for the 3 membranes, used to use ro man in the past for them, but get them from gardiners now..dont bother wasting your time buying the cheap imports, waste of money.

I wouldn't worry too much gazza, my 300gpd ro-man ro has had 1 filter change only in the last 3 1/2 years. No membranes.
It gets flushed very well and regular.
I am not on a water meter. ;D

Just bought 3 today. £27 each from The Cleaning Spot. Usually you should change them every 2-3 years. ;D

Once a day for about 15min, then once a week a little longer. Although this entirely depends on how much water you produce a day. I produce about 350l a day.
RO man I think recommends flushing it for half an hour at least before every fill or something along those lines.

Depends if you are on a meter i suppose?
But i flush after production for 1/2 hour or so everyday.
I also have a booster pump which might help as it runs more efficiently with it.
Mine is a ro-man booster pump and 300gpd ro, which i bought from gardiners in march 06.
Like i said, same membranes and 2nd set of filters. I produce between 1200 - 2000 litres per week.

As Windowwashers said, the TDS will rise. The other thing that happens is that the production rate will slow down. Both of these events are well outside the normal fluctuations that you might expect.
