i have the polars, which have a removable fur lining.
-
Are these gloves any good for trad.
-
too thick i would imagine
-
Ok, thanks. :'(
-
think if you look at the joka website, they have similar ones but thinner.
-
I've yet to find good warm waterproof gloves with decent grip for wfp. So you recommend the polar eh?
Where is cheapest to buy from?
-
Ive just looked at joka gloves website and there is about 6 or 7 different styles, what type did you go for?
-
I've just ordered the polar ones from the E-bay link. £18.11 +£2 delivery.
the polar definately look the best as they have a detachable warm lining inside. Will have to see though....
My hands were so cold today. They got so cold that I couldnt feel the cold but my hands were useless. When I tried to write my hands couldnt grip the pen haha

polars are the ones i have. just take out the inner linings and dry them from your sweaty wet hot hands!
;D

Tried a pair of these polar gloves yesterday when I was up with Arthur at Sureclean in omagh, they don't look like much but they are soo warm, I don't actually use gloves but if it gets much colder here in the north of Ireland then I very well may purchase a pair!! The inner layer (as a few have said) is a furry material which can be pulled out to wash if they become sweaty and the outer layer was described to me as basically the same stuff as protekacoat we use in vans! Unbelievable grip on the pole too, The two distributers for the gloves are Sureclean in omagh in Ireland and omnipole over in England, so don't think you can buy directly from joka themselves!! They seem pretty good, I'm sure we'l no more after a few months!!

you can buy them online and have them delivered from anywhere
-
Yeah that's what I meant you can buy them online from omnipole or sureclean! But you can't buy them directly of joka themselves.
-
mine just arrived today they are kinda big close to boxing gloves lol dont think they would do traditional at all ,they are very warm and i imadgine they will sweat your hands vey quickly ,dont think i would like them without the fur linings as they then seem to floppy tomorow will tell
-
All gloves ive used tend to wear very quickly around the thumb area from gripping, do these look as tho they will stand the test of time????
-
otter gloves 10 quid ebay ideal
-
I couldnt wear them all day today as my hands got too hot, and thats no joka ;D

update on my joka gloves ,
started the first house this morning got the gloves on ready to go lifted my pole which now felt the thickness of a beer can and struggled to plug the pole into the reel, that was enough reached for my old gloves which were cold and damp and continued to work having it in my head to send the new ones back .
half way across the front of the large bungalow i was doing my hands began to freeze, this was one of the coldest days we have had hear so far so went back to the car and grabbed the joka gloves to try again with them and it was only then i appreciated how warm they are my hands where roasting the rest of the day although they are a bulky fit they definitly keep your hands warm and dry
-
the inner lining flattens after a day or two's use, so they feel less bulky.
what i am finding is condensation inside the waterprood glove as they heat up, so i am going to buy another set of inner linings to swap during the day.
-

For those who have e polas remove the inner pola when not using because they will over heat and start to rot.

I have put the outer and inner in the washing machine and they wash up great.
The inner absorbs the sweat and grime from hands so probably needs washing about once a week.
I am going to buy spare liners so I can change them if they become to sweaty.
So happy with my warm hands.
-
can anyone give an update on these joka gloves , think i will try them as i have the
sealskinz , totally water proof and warm...... MY ARSE ! wet and cold and £25...what a rip off.
joka seems the way d go. ;D
-
eventually bought a pair from authur at sureclean, just lives up the road from me so popped up and got them, didnt think i would need them because i never use gloves but it just got too cold this last few weeks. on the gloves themselves, their great (in a tony the tiger voice) they really do keep your hands warm, i have used them everytime ive left the house this past few weeks!! they are a bit bulky but arthur reckons when the innerlining is washed it becomes less bulky, which i will soon see as ive just put them in the wash. i dont think i could work in these temps without the gloves!!
-
good info may invest in a pair
they dont do two left hands m8 ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
Thank you , i will order some... only , how do i find my hand size?
'ere we go ;D ;D
