Just got one today for cleaning in the winter month has anyone got any tip im going to practice on my windows tomorrow ???
-
i always stand slightly to one side, rather than direct under window ,find it makes it easier . i use pole+a wagtail angle arm+ squeegee and going halfway up your ladder and poling from there is something i often do. i put the ladder to one side of the window and put the wagtail angle arm on ,upside down / if you look on youtube theres a few vids of an angle arm being used "upside down", its really good in that position .apart from the regular long poles , the short poles that are on sale in BnQ are really handy too , the Quickie3 part tele and the ANZA 2part are both so light, and id never leave home without both of these . the Anza one is so tiny i carry it in my b.o.a.b
i space my hands out along the pole ,both hands on Top of pole

i use an unger pole and put my squeegy/Tmop on when needed and detail with a dry microfibre in a clamp.
1.good rubber on squeegy/dry microfibre.
2.soap up window/straight pulls with squeegy/finish with microfibre in a clamp
3.slightly miss the top frame by a few millimetres when soaping up unless really dirty 1st clean.
4.angle adaptor for deep ledges so u can finish the bottom of window.
5.feather the top edge when squeegying/slightly diagonal pulls.
6.tap squeegy on window or wall to remove excess water after every downward pull.
7.use a swivelock squeegy for awkward angles.
8.make sure microfibre is bone dry in clamp for detailing!

and lots of practice!u will get better and quicker as u keep poling.on some of my compact stuff that takes me a week to clean(on 1 estate).i carry ladder/bucket/pole about.sometimes it takes slightly longer than using ladders but a lot safer!! ;).you will feel so much better on the dodgy slippy surfaces/above porches etc.

I had some porchs yesterday so i used the pole but i dont think it was a good job thanks for the tips

soap up and blade as normal. get a clean scrim or micro wrap it round your blade and wipe the top edge of the glass to stop any drips. then simply climb your ladder to check for smears and see if any detailing is needed.easy peasy lemon squeegee. ;) ;) ;)
-
certainly dont go climbing the ladders!thats why u use the pole!dont take any notice of mallett!stick to the jokey comments eh gary? ;D ;D

Put a thin piece of hose up the pole to a brush head with two jets in it. Connect the other end of the hose to a pump with a further piece of hose to a trolley tank with a battery - hey presto!
Have a few other 25L containers to top up from.

it was a joke . ;) ;) ;D ;D

Use back/flip. Angle squeegee blade \_______/ Ducktale the squeegee. ie: bend ends in towards window. Sorted.
