ive tried allsorts of advertising mark for the window cleaning yellow pages, yell.com, google adwords, free listings on internet, leaflet dropping, banners made up 3m x 1m but ya cant beat someone canvassing for you its direct you get an answer there and then.

various types of the advertising did ok for me but the cost for some is quite high ya much better off paying someone that has experience canvassing to go out and get you the work, my business has tripled the work load since i employed a canvasser just in the last 6 weeks.

if your interested i know a group of lads that have canvassed for safestyle and aquashield they all live in ellesmere port im sure they'd be quite happy to go knocking at weekends for you if the price was right.

you can get free listing on both so you won't loose anything by doing them that way ;)

I had a Yell.Com sponsored ad - the biggie at the top (old style layout) it cost er....£3000  :'(

It generated a small handful of leads.... :'( :'( :'(
I paid £350 for a Yellow Pages ad....got 16 enquiries.....

I spend £600 a year on Google PPC which generates 100's of leads PA  ;D
We get others through organic searchs too  ;D

I am not on Yell or in Yellow Pages at all .....overpriced IMHO
Free directories rarely generate leads, although Find a Good ONe and FreeIndex have worked quite well this last year  ;D

Everyone will have a different experience.....but google/web works brilliantly for me !!

hi mark i looked at your webiste and its a franchise website isnt it?  it has not got your own pics of work etc. i think you need to have your own pics on it and make it more personal to yourself.  are you franchising it from someone else?  how much did it set you back ?  16 k or more?

i remember the drive doctor franchise where everywhere and now they have gone bust.  now its that pave smart and smart seal franchise.  im sure that will go bust too.  the custies wont pay franchise prices as they can get in cheaper elsewhere.  i always get asked "you are not a franchise are you?"

basically if i was they would not have me to do the job it seems.

why not make your own business name and buil up the work yourself and reap the rewards.

oh sorry mark it looked like one of those smart seal websites?    http://www.pavesmart.co.uk/

on there smart seal use pics that are not their own which is poor really.

and here is yours      http://www.drivewayrestorationcheshire.co.uk

did seal master the company who supply your sealants and tints give you the pics or did you take them yourself with your own camera?
