Title: Leeda Blue Diamond Pole / Cold Weather
Post by: L.Doubtfire - The Blade Runner on December 11, 2009, 10:59:11 am
Bitterly cold first thingish or so.Had a section on my Leeda Blue
Diamond pole split on the end raising the pole up to 40 feet.I`m
Putting it down the cold, although the Leeda does seem lighter than
Other fishing poles I`ve used.Never happened before on winters past.
Lightweight Bentley brush on end with small gooseneck. How do you
Fella`s find carbon fibre poles ? I`m putting it down to the cold perhaps.
Had to stop anyways, water froze up.
Thanks for replies.

Remeber that litttle trick I showed you at the show (hmm did I show you it ? )and those pieces that Karl gave you, if you had fitted them it may not have happened, I think Cheshire fishing still have spares for the Leeda- oh I may have what section was it ?

Hi jeff, yes I remember you showing me something, but can`t bring
To mind what it was? Will the sections `stack`after repair?
I`m having it repaired for £5 at my local fishing supply place.
Pick it up Monday.I`m keeping those that Karl forgot to take for
`spares`.Might even try making a `shorty`pole with em`.

The female end that goes in was crushed about 2 inhes or so.Just
A fragment or so on the male (bottom) end.
It`s one of the near middle sections.Like a fool I was `walking it
Up the wall`to raise it for work etc.No more of that from now on.
Always lifted the pole that way before though,no problems.that’s
What makes me think it was the cold.

Hi Jeff, not sure but my fishing pole supply place that’s doing this
Repair for me will do something on the same lines as your explaining.
This fella`s pretty good,he`s done a couple others for me in the past.
I`ll get back to ya if there`s anything further to report.
It`s `beefing`em`up and still being able to stack em`` when in motion/
Transit job to job I`m concerned about.
Your `snookered`when using expander foam then as regards `stacking`.?
