Title: What targets to set .....
Post by: d.ward on December 11, 2009, 07:08:42 am
Im thinking of using my own canvassers has ive said before on a previous post so sorry to bore you again.....

My next question is if i set them weekly targets what are realistic targets they should meet ?
I was thinking 20 NEW CUSTOMERS a week but then was thinking im just plucking numbers out the sky.....

Is 20 realistc or should i lower that number???

It depends on how many hours there going to be out. I was out 1 hour on Wednesday and got 5 new custies then yesterday I was out 2 hours and gained 7 new custies.

10 hours a week should easily get 20 customers, but again if there in an area that is well covered then the number may be lower.

if your out for about 4-5 hours i think per person 8-12 new customers should be a easy target, why dont you advertise bar pay some 1 to do it?If you say your to busy then why the extra work.

It's a 'how long is a piece of string?' question.

If a good, methodical canvasser has covered the area recently, you'll be lucky to pick up one new custy for every 100 doors knocked.

If you hit an area that has a shortage of cleaners you could be rushed off your feet with new jobs (you wish ::))

you might end up smiling more-if you draw out £100 from a cash machine, then walk the streets door knocking a few hours  and then when you get home GIVE YOURSELF  the £100 . youve lost nothing then, most likely found sevral new customers and got yourself fit into the bargain

the next day you clean the new houses you just found and take the money from that PLUS  the £100 and pay it all into the bank, and it feels good /keep a few quid back to treat yer missus and a beer wiv the lads and carry on next day the same . it might seem daft at first but if your wallet is stuffed with cash ,makes you feel good  and before you know it your swimming in work and then the trouble is YOUVE GOTTA DO SOME SERIOUS CLEANING  ;D
