Put 1000's out and a phone call this afternoon requested a quote.
When she mentioned the address I thought 'I put leaflets out there about 3 weeks ago great.'
Did the quote and got job, but thought I'd just check where she got number from

Half of all advertising is a waste of money; we just don‘t know which half. :(

Leaflets have been very poor for the second half of this year. 1 immediate call per thousand is a good response at present.

We do leaflet from time to time.
We cleaned a house last week, later on we asked where they got out details.
She showed us a leaflet that we sent out I checked our records and that leaflet was 2 years old.
Fancy keeping the details for that period of time.

No use someone ringing you in two years if you've gone out of business because you only relied on leaflets. It's the new Yellow Pages. ;)

I've never done leaflets and I don't intend to anytime soon

as they say ..could be the custy checked you out on yell.com to see if you were a bonafide trader having read the leaflet, or chances are the leaflet put the idea into custy's mind but forgot where they put the leaflet so let their fingers do the walking.

The difference is Dave the trend is more and more people are going online to find services and less influenced by junk mail.
However, the internet is a passive marketing media. You may be thinking of CC but not done anything about it but a leaflet through the door may prompt you.
Companies go out of business for many reasons, especially not charging enough, I doubt if it was their website that was their downfall.

Mike totally agree with you.
Dvae or Dave even,
I have to ask why so many websites?
Do you find it works? Does it dominate google in your area?
