Title: Super-lite
Post by: Seers on December 08, 2009, 06:34:31 pm
Hi,

Before I place an order for a super-lite from gardiners is there anything else out there which compares for 60ft work?

Cheers,

Huw

Hi,

Can't seem to find the brodex ones but the ergolites from ionics are amazingly expensive?

Cheers,

seerclean

the supelight 2 is awsomely light, very rigid and i would say avery good pole

BUT

it makes it difficult to do some jobs because you can only change the lengh of the pole by th section size(cause its a modular) its needs TLC (silicon spray regular and dont be rogh with it).

I wouldn't use mine if it's windy, to get the strength the pole has to be made thicker, and they really do catch the wind. As said, treat them gently.

Gotta say i love my supalite, no matter what you lot say about them , its fantastic. I reach much more things than most window cleaners do round here, and som e of the local window cleaners pay me to come and do certain windows they cannot reach.

Admitedly its a bit of a pain getting all sections out etc etc but if your using it for a long period then its great. Odd window here and there is a pain. But like i say, all day use on big commercial jobs is fantastic!

Go for it!

Buy anything other than a modular and you will regret it.(tree trunks)
Word of warning though, before you use it, put electrical tape on the top end of each section to stop the section going in too far and causing compaction.

Have you tried a SL yet?

You might find its a bit too light.. personally i like it that way, but some people do prefer a bit of weight (each to their own).
