On the cleaning spot website

I saw these at the NEC and was impressed and have been waiting for there release

can i ask steve what vehicle you run a 1000l out of please?
And is this okay- whatever it is- for domestic and not too big?

looking at there prices i would rather spend a little extra and get an slx, all carbon and a lighter brush..

I have a the 1000 litre tank + gutter vac equipment in a renault master which handles the weight the no problem
A 1000 litres system uis fine for commercial but not needed for domestic, If i had to choose a tank for residential i would go for the new 750l upright in a swb transit or master

Is it just me, or are they no lighter than the standard Xtel poles? Are they more rigid at least?

your right Nat , they are no lighter but shorter collapsed, i think they are supposed to be more rigid

The weight is reasonable for the 24ft model, but it's 6.4ft closed length. That's not very good. :-\

Perhaps they should cut the tubes down to under 6'
But then it wouldnt be 24' when extended ;D

i was thinking of getting the 17ft one for some domestic work. looks a good pole and looks to be fairly short when closed.

they are more expensive than the slx , Would rather have an slx put my my name down for slx-18 when they come back in stock in 2 wks time

On their website yesterday the said they were due in this week, looked just now and there is only the 25ft and 30ft listed.
Good product but poor suppliers as they are never in stock :(

You'll be lucky, just rang up and they said they might have the 18ft in stock in January ::)
Pity nothing else is comparible with lightness/collapsed length/ridigity otherwise they'd make a killing....but obviously they need to be in stock ;)
In fact why hasn't anyone produced an alternative to the SLX yet ???

emailed gardiners last night got reply today slx-18 possibly in stock jan they not sure need new pole as my 24ft hybrid is really worn on 3 sections and spinning can't keep it compact for downstairs windows so i have ordered 18ft hydra pole from brodex it will see me thourgh for now £125.00 plus vat

i was thinking of getting the 17ft one for some domestic work. looks a good pole and looks to be fairly short when closed.
I used to use the fibre glass 17ft xtel before using sl2.
It was a revelation at the time and i would probably have never used different, if it hadn't eventually fell to pieces.
I got around 7 months good use and another 3 or 4 with the ends spinning. It eventually cracked and snapped.
Get a gardiners brush on there and you will be very happy with the pole. Its very versatile and speedy to use.

Harris pole is light ;D and nationwide stockists ;D
To be fair to Alex G the SLX is Fantastic to use at height, cant see the point at 18ft though, maybe they are ridgid ? :-\ anyone got a video of an 18ft pole extented ?
