Need some help if anyone can point me in the right direction, I acquired a Rhino carpet machine earlier this year and its been a fairly good piece of kit except last week the recovery tank decided to start to split along the base. I am trying to source a replacement but with the company who manufactured/sold them apparently now not trading i am finding this a bit difficult. This was i have been told one of the faults of the machine. Anyway just wondered if anyone had one of these machines and had the same problem and how they solved it. or if anyone had any contacts worth speaking with.

I just googled rhino carpet cleaning machine and quiet a few dealers in the UK, including Cleansmart in Nottingham.
Being less then a year old it should still be under manufacturers warranty so one of the dealers should be able to give you info.

carpetmas5: thanks i have looked at their website, cant see anything but will give them a call tomorrow to see if they can help.
Joe: thanks i have already tried cleansmart, they have told me that the supplier does not reply (because they have gone out of business, but will let me know if they hear anything).
Also tried another company called WCSUK who are a supplier of the Mytee Speedster which the Rhino is apparently a copy of and they have told me that the tanks are not exactly the same so are unlikely to be a good replacement.

I'm not sure if this will help or not? There is a man named Ed Valentine here in the states and he manufactures the Cross American line of extractors. I understand he now sells them in the UK, this man has been in the industry for many years and very knowledgable. He might have an idea how to retrofit your machine, or some other solution. Below is his web address, I dont see a listing for their UK distributor, but I know it exsist. Ed is a super nice guy!

Hi a and m,
I have a Rhino. It was purchased from A and M Cleaning Supplies who went bust.
On the front of the machine I have a metal plate with
MasterClean
01293 561 777 they are based in Crawley. East Sussex area
I hope this is of some help. Let me know how you get on as the same could happen to me later

Johnnyf: Thanks i will take a look at that website.
Dave: I tried the numbers as they were on my machine but the company are no longer trading so the numbers are no good.
I spoke to three other machine supply companies today and pretty much got the same answer, that a recovery tank for the machine is as rare as rocking horse doo doo in this country as masterclean were the only company bringing the machines in from the states. One person i spoke to suggested that i cover the inside of the tank (base and 1/2 way up the sides) with fibreglass like doing a car body repair, anyone tried anything like that before? and if so was it any good?

Have you a picture of how it has split?
If it it split in a straight line, ie down an original seem plastic can be welded back together.

I have also callede MasterClean, they have not gone bust.
They have a sister company called supreme cleaning - Master clean is still available on an 0800 3287531 if you give them a call I am sure they can help.

Thanks for that i will call them tomorrow, how did you get hold of Master Clean? i called both the numbers i had, 1st number some old lady answered and the second number just rang out!
I am surprised they have a sister company, i will look for their website, but honestly over the past few days i have spoken to probably at least 10 different suppliers who have told me Masterclean are out of business hence unable to get replacement parts.
