one of my little darlings, opened a bottle of coke on our living room carpet,  nice cream one as well, and treated it with pure shampoo, just not worked, whats best thing for it or is it new carpet time

Oh dear...oh dear oh dear. Well that's just made the job 1000 times worse.
Nothings impossible but you now need a carpet cleaner in your area with an extraction machine, as the water and towel method will take you from now to Christmas 2012 to get all that 'shampoo' out.

i heard foam is a carpet cleaners nightmare and ruins their machines - gonna require a fair bit of de foaming solution I guess. £££  ::)

cold water acidic rinse rinse rinse then clean with tea coffee rem or poss MPower or one step fineline....

plenty dry passes or force dry
