Title: Life expentancy of pre filters?

Working from rainwater with a TDS of 35-40 (approx)

How long will 20" sediment, granular activated carbon, and solid carbon (coconut husk) provide adequate filtering for?

say 500 litres per day for 5 days a week.

you really dont need granular activated carbon, and solid carbon (coconut husk) if its for rain water

You do if your roof tiles are sand cement type and have a bit of moss.
