i started with a trolley from pure freedom. used it as a trolley with barrels in car, then after some time use it as a van mount system out of a box trailer. it is a bit more expensive than diy but if you are new to the game it can be progressed with you and not a peice of kit you outgrow

anywhere i can get everything from one place?
Also best place for ibc 600 litre tank as im looking for one for the garden?
Is pure freedom the best trolley to get?
Also any ideas of best place for public liability for 5 million just for me no employees?
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Also are vista print websites anygood or is moonfruit better?
Where would i go for printed paper saying your windows have been cleaned?
Cheers sorry for so many questions.

if was you id start simple ,trad only ,see if you like doing it first / buy all you need off Ebay and theres always good secondhand ladders on ebay /
one of the first places i ever did a old rectory , was so flippin high i almost pooped meself on my ladder, but its a learning curve and by the time i next went there 3 months later id got a bigger sqeegee and all sorts. the point being is dont get in too deep,to start with . i could have easily chucked away my "quickie brand"squeegee and put the ladder behind my ma"s shed after that rectory believe you me ;D

Agreed im in the process of building up my round and reading on here can get you carried away with the wfp method, ive always done the few i have got trad. But ive set myself a target of 50 customers before i invest in a trolley system.Start off with trad first i also think you need to be confident with trad and if starting off with wfp, when are you going to get the practice with the trad method.

i have a big set of ladders but dont want to be climbing ladders as i know a few people have injured themselves with falls.
The plan is to do traditional on downstairs and pole clean upstairs,i would rather start how i mean to go on so the customers know what they are getting.
I have a nice big petrol pressure washer and a big mossmatic for doing drives and graffitti,so i get pole fed i wouldnt really need to spend much after that and will have the tools i need for the jobs.

Have you got any work lined up?.

Cleaning windows with wfp is completly different to cleaning windows "traditional" way. If I had started with ladders I would have quit within a few weeks...yes I have tried it...but I started with wfp from day 1 and 5 years later still like the business.
I'm not saying either way is better...just different.
You don't have to spend fortunes to start wfp. Start with a back pack and put it on a light weight trolley...and as your business grows invest in equipment that will may working quicker and easier for you.
Look through old posts on this and other sites there is lots of good advice and info to help you learn.
Good Luck

I take your point but if you started WFP,why did you even try trad because after spending out on a WFP system you were never going to change to trad it's like buying a car then useing a bike people just wounldn't ?.Also you can set up trad for probably just around £100-£150 your talking alot more than that for WFP i would say what ive read on here at cheapest £500 and that would be pushing it.I would have thought alot of people start window cleaning because there either unemployed of fancy being there own boss. But splashing out aload of money either savings or borrowed money just seems abit senseless before a decent size round has been built up you would be better off spending out on advertising. My advice for newbies get the work first/update to WFP later.
