while collecting this week got given an old pound note instead of a fiver, if it had been in decent condition i might have kept it  ;D

They still use £1 notes over in the Channel Islands

Its weird when i go visit my mum and sis. I had £40 in £1 notes and my wallet was bursting

I know what you mean mate I hate carrying 40 £50 notes its a nightmare going to need a second wallet

i still get pound notes not many though, but they are still legal and still made by scottish banks

I can remember when pound coins came out thinking nah no way i'm not into them
but like yourself i do get the occasional quid note and they seem weird,
wouldnae mind a big bag o' them though eh ?
