Title: Trad window cleaners

Just a thought when was the last time any one saw a w/c with a bike and ladder on shoulder must have been over 15 years since I saw one

i remember a guy who used to take his ladders on the bus!no joke!he lived about 2 miles from his work.i suppose it never crossed his mind to leave ladders at custys house and hop on the bus alone!part time i think he was.i seen him coming out of the local jehovas witness hall another day.i also remember a guy bout 12 or so years ago who was 75 who did a few in the morning then had a few at dinnertime in the local pub!! ;D ;Dnever seen a guy on a bike though i think stan the man still uses his on occassions ;) ;D ;D ;D

Used to be a few around here who would ride a bike with arm through ladder rungs now we all use cars or vans . no stan has a hand cart. keep threatening other half will get a horse and cart kids and housewives will love it and could sell muck for roses . Steptoe rides again   ;D

i saw one a couple of months ago,bicycle ,ladder ,bucket.couldn't believe it.i wanted to turn round and took a picture of him asn posted here but was in a hurry

 iknow 2 w/c that walk there rounds as got no car/van.never seen one around here with bike.

i saw one this summer , riding his bike on the ring road in ipswich . spose he must be riding one handed ,other hand holding ladder on his shoulder ,whatever . LOOKED COOL  ;D

so there are a few out there maybe if fuel prices go up might be a few more next summer . Be a bit stuffed with wfp  ;D . Could invest in a trailer suppose and plenty of cream for saddle sores  :o

i was talking to two guys in chepstow yesterday,

who used to work for ian giles  ;)

they used to go round on bikes, i seen them a few times over the years

they have a nice wfp system in the van

said they would hate to go back to the old ways ;D

think will stick with van at least when u need a leak can use an old bucket on a bike prob wet myself before got to public toilets  :(

I saw a guy last year, but he was wheeling his bike with ladders balanced on handlebars and saddle. His bucket and tools were hanging on the handlebars.

There must be quite a few window cleaners who can't drive, so there must be a few still using bikes around the country.
