Matt, if it is fitted the way needed a swb is a min, I have a tranist that caters for the same as what you are after, it is a squeeze but I had it design to fit what I wanted, geni gutter van wfp system poles hoses, pressure washer whirlaway, more hoses and 2 hose reels for wfp.
If I had a choice again I may opt for a mwb or a higher roof than a swb low roof that I have, I am getting another van in the new year and will be measuring it for what I need again as want a 1000l wfp system and gutter and pw stuff. Rob at M clean like making good of space in a van then hiding it to be a bed and home away from home...

you are not gonna need all that gear in van at one time so why buy a massive van to carry it all around? a fully loaded van will use more fuel also

Problem is there are times when you need it all in the van trust me, I do just this. I never have the lot in the van when not needed and is cleared out at night. but not getting it right costs money, I learnt this the hard way and had to get another wfp system to fit in after I had just had one made for me, was 12 inches to big :'(, ask concept he will vouch as he bought it from me at 2/3 months old
-
1,000ltr tank Ian, thats huge.
is that a 2 or 3 man system or is it for driveways and patios?
Matt
-
Can you get a LWB Vivaro?
-
yeah you can mb
-
lol
125 ltr will only last me 2-3 houses on a first clean
How much in Fuel do you spend Ian, if you don't mind me asking.

Dont talk to me about relays, my one cost me over 7k this year and is off the road again, cant be the egine I replaced ot at 24k as was shagged, cant be gear box I replaced that in July, cant be the clutch I replaced that aswell in july, the list goes on anyone what to buy it ??
Matt About £100/£140 a week depends where vans have to drive tbh,
-
Ian am I right in saying that a van of that size only does 20-25MPG on fuel?
Matt
-
Craig, we are seriously thinking of getting a small remortgage, to pay of the loans and credit cards we used this year.
as it stands we have just got a constant headache.
plus it will make it easier each month.
Matt
-
It will make me feel more relaxed, new year, new start.
I certainly don't want to be spending the same next year as I have this year.
Bought loads of kit, and starting up again in Essex.
-
are we in the burmuda triangle?
I think posts are going missing.
-
Consolidation sometimes the way forward, hopefully all your investment will soon pay off.
-
I know it will Craig, just thought it would have a quicker response than this, maybe its because of the recession.
or the fact we didn't really start advertising until couple of months ago.
But one thing is for sure, lately we have been getting just as many gutter jobs as we are window cleaning jobs.

-
Thanks Jonny.
Could be worse, could be out of a job with no income what-so-ever.

Matt what response rate have you been getting with your leaflet drops?
I allways find nov/dec drop in rates, but a lot hold on till feb/march and then the enquiries go up.

im after a ford connect for about £3,500 and putting a 350/400 lt tank in the back.i personally not interested in guttervacs/pressure washing etc.i would rather have a good solid round with repeat business.periodically doing extras for custys{conny roofs, fascias, gutters etc} in the spring/summertime than a big van/high overheads/more hassle/constant leafleting.ive had a car for 5 yrs that cost £700!its done me fine over the years!
-
i also never have debt now!learned the hard way a few years ago!!if i cant afford to pay for whatever outright i dont buy it!!no credit cards at all now just a pre-payment card!!i save up and work hard!.it makes it more satisfying when i buy things then and no guilt!!
-
I know where you are coming from Daz, but most businesses will apply for a business loan or remortgage for capital for the business.
with the gutter cleaning, patio and driveway cleaning, those jobs are actually helping me out at the moment, without them I would be in a more serious mess.

Shame I need an HGV license for a fire engine, that would be awesome for WFP lol
Matt

if I had one with a water cannon, I would be able to reach windows over 100ft high lol
