just got back in from seeing damage to my van,and i m devastated.my son dropped me off after work and carried on home, smelled burning so pulled over, when he opened the side door flames and smoke billowed out from above the cab.i ll give him his due he ran round the back and pulled hose reel out,but then had to go back for a pole to try and put it out.meanwhile a police car had come past and got fire brigade out.thankfully my son got the fire out before they got there. turns out the fire was started by a power pack we keep in the van for winter mornings and if we ve run 2 pumps for a long time.anyway the good news is it s only destroyed things like clothing and not important items and it s took allthe paint and decals from above the cab. the worst is we ve only had the van a month and it is my pride and joy.so if you carry any thing like this please be careful and keep safe.p s but when i see the news about cumbria it really does nt matter about a new paint job does it cheers mick

The main thing is no one was injured. A bit of paint damage is anoying but nothing else.

Take it you mean one of those jump starter packs brought my kids 1 each last year but croc clips are live at all times . Just brought myself 1 today reduced to £49.99 from maplins can turn off power to croc clips . sorry its a bit late for you but worth thinking about if you are going to replace power pack
