Title: F A O MB WINDOW CLEANING
Post by: peter holley on November 24, 2009, 07:02:49 pm
I was reading your leaflet drop thread a few weeks back with interest.....I aminterested in an update.

1.   would you say you have had 1% response, or is it to early to tell?

2.   how many have you put out to date? and how many custies  have you had?

3.   on your first batch , how many were put out, how many calls did yiou have from the first batch, and how long has it been.

I need just another 50 wc custies, so I am thinking of having, 5000 dropped by a company who will print and distribute for £264....I woul like my 1% response by march, they will be droped in december........I will be door knocking a different area in between 8)

My brother is a sales and marketing consultant, he thinks there's too much writing on the flyer.
He told me that people in general are lazy, and if they see lots of writing they won't bother reading it.
He said that there's 2 type of flyers, the informative and the eye catching, our flyers are the informative ones (which he tells me has to be handed personally to the potential customer rather than dropping through their door.

thanks for that advice! when I have delivered flyers myself 100 here and a 100 there, I have had a good success rate, normally 1%, but on one occation I hit the right areand had a success of 16%... but that was extreme and just luck. when I do a drop myselfI target certain house types ...but with mass drops like what I am contempating, I feel alot maybe 40% will be dropped on the wrong type of house....although the drop company said they could avoid council and terraced houses by my request 8)

I had some feedback from a leaflet i dropped once.

The guy told me he had had two window cleaning leaflets on the same day (mine and another)

This was what he said about mine .... plain, simple, but to the point... no frills

The other one...... Very fancy, double sided, full colour, pictures, freephone number .... i'll have to pay extra for his fancy leaflets & brand new van (in pics)

He said he didnt even bother getting the guy out for a quote because of his leaflets

Has been a cracking customer of mine for a good 6 months now

Proper printed flyers are actually cheaper to produce than printing them on your own PC printer.
35,000 for £200
I doubt you could get anywhere near that on a PC printer.
