been in touch with Omnipole today and they say that the best transformer to run the 110v gattervac is the 6300kva one £200 odd quid , ok i think no problen buy one on line and bobs yer uncle ... just had a look with debit card in hand and the weight of it..... 40kg :o ..... seeing as thogh im gonna be using it a lot i am now thinking about getting the 240v guttervac
-
I thought that the whole point of having 110v is so you can use it with a generator when there is no power supply (apart from safety issues)
-
well i am looking at it from a safety perspective firstly and secondly if i need to get a 110v machine in the future when a job requires it wont have to buy again
-
If the transformer is £200 and weighs 40kilos then you might as well get a genny.
-
really?
-
generator makes more sense to buy as can be used where ther eis no power

Very heavy though, will need 2 people to lift, so depends if working on your own,
-
i will be on my own mostly and my van isnt big enough for a genny ....

makea little trolley for it. Sure you csn buy wheels similar to the type found on B&Q sack trucks online. Can't remember the site name though.

5kva or bigger generators are very heavy.
Mine is over 80kg!

THen it needs to be van-mounted. You need lots of cabling, son.
