Title: iron coloured stains on new flags after lawn treatment??

hi guys what should i use to get rid of the iron coloured stains that you get on flags after green thumb have been around? the woman said she has tried everything?

was thinking of sodium hypochlorate?

You could try Oxalic acid crystals made into a paste and allowed to soak in for a few minutes. I buy from a Co called AG woodcare - the acid is used in wood bleaching!

This has worked for me before on rust stains on driveways and if it doesnt remove, then it will fade them. Take care when handling though!

i have used white vinegar before on a small area with pretty good results, just pour it on and rub in with a nail brush leave for about 5 ninuetes to agitate then wash off, i have also heard lemon has the same affect but never tried it myself.
oxalic acid works well but be very careful with it
