Whatever gets the job eh....
-
Im usually one to say, dont worry about it...but did he honeslty walk up that glass roof...
-
apparently you can park a car on most conservatories without it collapsing.
although i wouldnt walk on one personally ... nor would i park a car on one for that matter..
-
tbh - this was how it was done just 5 years ago before the real up take of wfp.
I used to do the same on glass roofs - we used to be like spiders climbing all over them, and there was 2 of us doing a conny roof just like that.
I know it still happens this way today..
far easier (and safer) these days to wfp the lot.

Nope over 5 years ago I would say to the customer, my life is more important than cleaning that window, they normally got the point I was making, if they didnt I offered to foot the ladder for them ;D.

What exactly is that first bloke cleaning ???

I'm sure these pics have been posted before, a good couple of years ago. You can imagine the situation with the conservatory. Customer says, "The guys that fitted it says it will take the weight of a car, your not scared are you?". Short answer should be, "I'm not a muppet."
As for the second, I can't really see why he has to put his leg out from the ladder, unless he's planning on breaking in, plus the ladders are a bit squew wiff. Mind you I've had a leg off the ladder before and higher than that.

But the guy has a boab so he must be a pro..........

might be a handyman who keeps a ladder in it
-
never in my bad dreams would i have worked like that.
muppets the pair of them :P

Some conservatory roofs (On commercial buildings mostly) are actually designed to be walked on.
I do one which is the entrance lobby of a supermarket,.. but there are eyebolts to secure your ropes/lanyard & I had a long chat with the safety officer there figuring out exactly how it should be done before I agreed to do the job.
The one in the photo is way too steep, defo only domestic grade, and no safety ropes in sight,.. very bad idea!
-
so thats how you get those windows above conservatories lol :o :o :o
-
look at this one

That's in Turkey isn't it? Looks like he's hung it from the top of the building and god knows what he thinks he is going to do ??? Sure he's not forgot his door keys or something? ;)
-
its actually resting on a plank which comes out of the window, and is 2 ladders tied together.
