Title: Making a standard e-mail look more professional
Post by: kinder clean on November 21, 2009, 03:23:10 pm
Up until now when I get an email enquirey without a contact telephone number, I've simply replied with my no frills standard looking e-mail.

However I've experimented with attaching  the latest version of my flyer in PDF format (now I've figured how to make my own better looking flyers) and instructing to just click and open the file, just thought it stands out from the crowd a bit.

My question is, how complicated is it to have the graphics (flyer etc) on display as soon as the custy opens your email, I know its possible as I get them all the time, do any of you guys have a clue how this is done ?

Paul

Does this increase the number of jobs you've been getting then from emails without contact numbers?

Stops the time wasters by doing an enquiry form.

I dont bother if they dont have a contact number myself to reply.. ::)

I can't see what sending a leaflet does. I'd send them some questions if you want to look 'professional'.

I agree with Mike. You don't know what is in the mind of the enquirer until you get some more feedback. THEN you can decide if it's worth putting more effort in. It costs nothing but a little time typing to show that you are good at your job and it's upto them whether they wish to buy into your values.

(Afterall we all spend enough time typing "interesting" replies on this forum.!) :)

Hi guys

The flyer I attach is a 3 fold A4 full of information about my company, I just want to know how to add the attachment to the e-mail so it appears when the email is opened, without the need for them to 'click to open'.

Cheers

Paul

create mail

click "insert" tab

click "picture"

make sure you go into writing your email or the "insert picture" tab will be grey instead of black (useable)

you may have to change file types etc etc........ just play around with it.

good luck and may the force be with you

if it is an answer to an email enquiry could you not just write;

thank you for your enquiry. please open our attachment for a detailed answer to your questions. the attachment also includes a printable money off voucher for any cleaning you require within the next 2 weeks.

if they have bothered to email you then I would guess they would be bothered to open an attachment.

Don't get many e mails to be honest from my contact form.
Everybody seems to look at the website then rings up.
