im looking at getting a new pole
thought id ask if any 1 has a Alloy Hydra Pole i was going to get the 18ft or 25ft and if they are any gd cheers
-
No but I've put one on my list for Santa ;D
I used to have a 24' Prolong, and that was great.
I know people always bang on about carbon fibre on here, but as long as there not too heavy I've always prefered alloy poles, much more robust imo.
At least if you drop it or it falls over your not cringing and worrying if its broken.

I really like the idea of these poles but I can't get over the Amazingly short collapsed length of ..............................................................
7ft :o - Do these people think were idiots or are they just trying to catch out newbies who know no better
-
7 ft still lets you do most ground floor work
-
Im not bothered about working with it on the ground, its extending it up the side of a building!
-
Collapsed lengths of bare poles -
7ft only 34 (3-section)
18ft only 6 (4-section)
25ft only 61 (5-section)
31ft only 63 (7-section)
36ft only 611 (7-section)

i,ve got 2 of the 25ft and its a superb pole , roughly 6 ft closed , weighs little more than a f/glass and will last for ages also extends and retracts really easy , buy 1 you won,t regret it regards alan

Ive got a 31 footer Hydra pole and its brilliant, not too heavy and very robust.
Perfect if your're like me and only use it now and again.

Thats what Im after an occassional pole that the lads can't break - but dont you find it a pain extending it when the sections are over 6ft

Its not a pain extending it, but you may have to wedge the bleeder in a kerb then push it up after its been fully extended.
