Title: the changeover to WFP
Post by: dazmond on November 19, 2009, 03:01:52 pm
all my custys know ill be changing over next year to WFP.this is what ive gleaned from this site over the last few months.

1.month before changeover clean the frames[especially top ones]with a scrim[some are filthy as i usually only clean the glass and sills!]

2.first practice on family, friends,my own windows and wait til they dry and check them!

3.take my time on first cleans.clean frames first then go back and just concentrate on the glass.

4.do tops first all the way round then bottoms when tops have stopped dripping.

5.scrub and rinse using W and Z motion

6.lay ur hose out at the furthest away point so ur not pulling hoses blind!

7.try and avoid dog/cat muck!

Yes, I agree with the above, but with No 4 you don't have to be over zealous.  A few drips from an upstairs window will not affect the quality of the clean on the downstairs window.

I'd also say when you practise on your house or your families; after you've had some practise, attempt to go as quick as you can; do what you think maybe a shoddy job; just once over the glass (top frame if it looks like it needs it), rinse and move onto the next window.  Try to get it to about 15 seconds per standard window and see what the results are like.  The same with patio doors, just wash once and give a quick rinse.  It takes very little effort and time.

I once did my own house like this early on when I started WFP and was amazed that they came up great and that gave me the confidence to work fast.
