Title: Cheap alternatives to Omnivak camera system
Post by: Rogue Trader on November 18, 2009, 09:15:02 pm: I am biting the bullett and im gonna shell out £1500 on the VAK setup but can cope with extra £600 + vat for their snazzy DVD recordable CCTV device , ALTERNATIVES??
So then what is the verdict ??

Also a camera system for less than £150 from some electronic shop. Cannot remember the name. It maybe even £125.

its a Sentient wireless colour camera with a 2.4 inch LCD wireless monitor

I bought it a couple of months ago from Maplins for £130 and still have the reciept

will sell for £100 as I say its brand new and unopened with seal still on box

Post by: stephen s on November 20, 2009, 03:46:07 pm: I havent tried to attach the canera to the pole as I got the wrong camera hence the reason its still sealed in the box, but I amagine you can tape it to to the pole at a fixed angle.

Maplins would sell this cheape ri reckon but not sure what type of cable you would need. Also it says you need to make sure recorder part on camera doesn't ge twet. You could easily cling film around this.

anyone have this kit?
