Title: Strong Winds
Post by: Mr Bungalow on November 18, 2009, 09:21:27 am
This question has probably been asked a lot already.

Does anyone out there go out window cleaning in strong winds.

Try not to be too silly with replys. ;D

Thanks.

Not in the wind because you stand a much higher chance of complaints from customers, (using wfp that is.)

I just change my rounds and only do low level stuff - at least it keeps some funds coming in.

I have done my lower level stuff.  The problem I have I have a lot of house which are the old terraced type.  So these are quite high, not risking my life for the sake of a few quid.

I have done 3 pubs this morning, all ground floor. Have seen 2 different window cleaners in Westcliff on sea ( Essex ) area up ladders holding on and battling against the winds,
BLOODY STUPID if you ask me

Yesterday working at 30ft, I couldn't move the pole even an inch. Checked the windows and they had a tiny bit of spots on them. Not too bothered. Cleaned again today.

Ladders? Wouldn't even think of going out. Suicide.

Got the ladders out this morning and did the back of some houses and it was quite safe, but the fronts were a different story. Got the pole out and still managed to do the best part of the days work.  ;D
